John Parnell Pierce built his first website in 1995 and first taught web site development in 1996. Since then he has been involved in many cutting edge web site development and research projects.
These included:
- interactive and online documentary projects
- development of web usability / accessibility tools
- research on the uses of technology in education
- development of interactive training material
- and the online delivery of high quality video & audio content.
Specializing largely in website frontend and backend development, John’s skills primarily lie in the coding side of website development. These skill are augmented by experience in video and audio production, video compositing, internet video and audio distribution (including encoding audio/video for online delivery), image editing and compression, and DVD production.
John also has a thorough understanding of web site usability, accessibility, search engine optimisation (SEO) and online marketing strategies.
On top of these skills, John has experience in a diverse range of areas including:
- training and lecturing
- meeting facilitation
- campaign and strategy development
- media release writing
After recently noticing a major shift in the way an online business presence is developed, John has been actively researching and testing new marketing and content delivery technologies.
